In mid-January, I was invited to be a photographer for a styled shoot in Château de Carsix, Normandy. The original idea by Katy from Maison Alba was to tell the story of a flowery blossoming, while celebrating white folded textures.

We wanted to tell about a young beauty that felt lonely and moody, until she met the love of her life and blossomed like a flower.
Château de Carsix was built in the 18th century by Philippe du Fay. It displays a unique orange-brick façade and included several large rooms of different adornment styles. Some reveal a typical Norman style, with tapestries on the walls. The rooms have a traditional tomette floor. Some salons are much more minimalist. Each room is unique.
Have you ever had the impression of eating outside while being in a most classy chateau lounge? For this “flower extravaganza” shoot, Katy from Maison Alba wanted to create unique, exuberant flower decorations. The wedding table floral design she created, in particular, was astonishing. It looked as if moss and flowers had been growing on the very table. This was an extremely natural, romantic and stylish wedding table, that made each of us want to have dinner on it. Eating on such a table would feel as if one was having a wedding dinner in the middle of a meadow.
As a conclusion to this styled shoot, makeup and hair artist Ismah Beauty wanted to create an extravagant scene of flowery celebration that would remind of refreshing and stylish universes such as Dior’s floral campaign.
