By the end of the summer 2021, I had the chance to accompany Saya Photography as a second shooter. We covered the wedding of Erin and Michael, two Americans from Los Angeles, who chose to get married at the magnificent Chateau de Ferrieres.
Lumière. Élégance. Esthétique.

Chateau de Ferrieres dates from the 19th century. It has a unique architecture, with neo-renaissance style facades. The floral decoration of the event was designed by La Maison d’Autel, and it is Samantha Bottelier who orchestrated the whole day.
For the then “young” photographer that I was, it was a first experience on a “foreign” wedding, and I was not disappointed, as the event was thought big. Each moment of the day was conceived regarding photography.
Only the weather was playing against us, as a big rain fell on us just when the bride and groom were about to say yes. But here is American optimism in all its beauty: Erin exclaimed with joy that she was happy that it’d rained at her wedding!
And one could indeed be happy, as Erin and Michael are a couple whose peace of mind only equals their sympathy. These lovebirds founded together “Dope Dog Treats”, a company that sells quality food products for dogs, and supports dog-saving missions at a local level.
The guests enjoyed a beautiful sunset, and dinner was set outside, under good weather auspices.
This wedding evening belied those who think that an American wedding ends up at 10 pm. At midnight, the dancing floor was still on fire!
