Frequent Questions

QUESTION

Who Are You?

ANSWER

I am Aude and I have "deux ailes" ("two wings") since I got married in June 2018: an "L" ("aile") for Lucas and an "L" for "Lesain". I am a discreet and helpful person that started as a wedding photographer after my own "big day". Always looking for a sense of aesthetics, I gave myself as an objective to bring my little contribution to the illustrated story of people's happiness. You will find in me a conscientious and rigorous person, but also an companion that will help you feel at ease in front of the camera.
I edit your wedding pictures one by one, with great carefulness, and I leave no small defect in my pictures.

Passionate with foreign cultures, I like traveling and human interactions. I live near Paris.
I followed Chinese studies, and thus am able to speak Chinese, as well as I master English.

QUESTION

Where do you work?

ANSWER

Everywhere! I live near Paris, but I always traveled a lot. I am from Bordeaux, where I got back on a regular basis. I love traveling everywhere in France, and even more abroad. I am thus ready to follow you about anywhere in the world!

QUESTION

What is "fine art" wedding photography?

ANSWER

Fine art photography is a photo style which rendering is close to film photography (or "silver / analogical" photography). Fine art wedding pictures are bright, often taken in a backlight that gives a very soft and romantic effect. The codes of fine art are rather classical, but it does not prevent emotion from being there. "Fine art" wedding photography likes elegant poses – those of the magazines! – and timeless aesthetics. The asset of fine art photography is that it does not get old-fashioned: it corresponds to aesthetical criteria that are timeless. So when you will look at your wedding pictures in 20 years, they will not seem outdated to your eyes.

QUESTION

We like you pictures but we dislike posing, how can you guide us so that we do not get bored?

ANSWER

One should not confuse "posing" and "being frozen". During my photo shoots, you pose, but the results is not "frozen", since the rendering will still be natural. During the shoots, I talk to you, but I mostly ask you to talk to each other, et avoid looking at me. Photo shoots are moments when you will be more be seeing each other than seeing me. Besides, I will know how to guide you so that the pictures are quickly taken. We then go on the next picture, and you do not get bored!

QUESTION

Why all this "bokeh" (depth of field)?

ANSWER

I have a very artistic approach of photography. I do document your wedding day, but I also interpret it. My photos are (almost) always taken at f/1.4, which means that the image is very blurred, soft, impressionistic. This gives an oneiric and ethereal style to my pictures. My aim is to essentialize the moments of your wedding day: regardless of the venue and decoration, I first and foremost underline the moments rather than the frame – even if the frame is of course very important. I put an emphasis on movement. the depth of field transcribes the depth of your feelings. I am convinced that what is suggested by diffuse images, rather that frontally photographed, tells with more strength how you felt on your wedding day.

QUESTION

How much take do you take to deliver the wedding photos?

ANSWER

I make a point of delivering the photos in the coming month after the wedding. Sometimes the delays are shorter, and it may take only 10 days.

QUESTION

How are the photos delivered to us?

ANSWER

They are put at your disposal in a private gallery, in a .jpeg format, and in high quality. You may share the pictures of the gallery with your family, friends, mark your favorites... A code enables you, as well as your guests, to download the whole gallery.

QUESTION

Do you sell photo books or prints of our wedding pictures?

ANSWER

Today, we most of the time see our pictures on a screen, but maybe would you like to keep a photo book of this unique and so precious day? It is a concrete object that you will keep your whole life – the only thing, along with your weddings rings, and maybe your dress. It is a valuable book that you will take pleasure into looking at, again and again, and that you will transmit to your children. I offer, in option or in some of my packages, to make this photo book for you. The photo book is printed by a professional laboratory located in France. It is made of high-end paper. Its cover is rigid and soft, and the binding is of good quality. The pages are made of 720-gr photographic paper, with a glossy or silken touch – up to your choice. You choose the format of the photo book. Other photo book options are available. I also offer prints of various sizes.
